Design House is proud to announce its latest renovation, Oak Forest. Our dedicated team expanded Oak Forest by 2,500 square feet to create a home whose modern style draws the eyes in a simplistically pleasing fashion. Oak Forest’s name comes from the overgrown oaks surrounding the property that make the house feel secluded in a busy world. Bringing nature indoors, the white oak floors contrast pleasantly with black metal finishes throughout the home.

The master bedroom was moved from a small upper-level bedroom to the brand-new buildout above the family room. The new master bedroom is spacious, creating a spectacular personal space to rest and reenergize, and now includes a delightful balcony. The master bathroom features a modern minimalistic plumbing style that perfectly emphasizes the architectural details. Integrated sinks and a spacious custom makeup vanity with plenty of natural light make getting ready in the morning a breeze. When looking for some extra “me time,” there is a spectacular bathtub overlooking a large window with stunning views outside to those overgrown oak trees. We can’t forget the master closet! Twelve feet wide by fifteen feet long makes this a dream closet for just about anyone!

The kitchen is the perfect mixture of airy space, clean lines, and modern amenities. This simplistic style is highlighted by Silestone white countertops with waterfalls details and garage-style roll-up doors to conceal the coffee station. Tom Dixon lights hang over a spacious island, ideal for extra prep space, having a snack, or working on a project. You will find an oversized backsplash window at the sink, with a cute ledge space for growing herbs for cooking. Out the window, you will be able to look at the backyard and the outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen features a barbeque perfect for any chef, an extra sink, and plenty of space to dine with family and friends. From here, it is easy to lounge in the sun, take a dip in the pool, or read in the shade.

Splashes of color and unique design can be seen throughout the home to give it that special flair. There is eclectic modern concrete painted tile imported from Spain with a Brizo Odin wall mounted faucet from the Jason Wu collection in the powder bath. In the kid’s room, you will find a bold black and white color scheme that highlights the custom-built bunk bed and desk area. In the living room, fascinating artwork draws the eyes and complements the vibrant rug, a perfect combination to the otherwise neutral color scheme. Lastly, colorful books adorn the quaint family room shelves where the glistening waters of the pool can be seen from the large window.
